Last year the CAMS students were very generous for the annual Toys for Bot-E-Tots

"Central Academy Middle School begins its fifth year of collecting toys for Bot-E-Tots," said Nellie Ward, attendance officer for the school. Unlike other toy drives, all of the toys gathered go to needy children in Botetourt County.

Ward continued, "We collected 495 toys last year. We have a box at the library and one at the Dollar General Store in Fincastle to make collection easier." She also has grade level boxes for students to bring unwrapped toys to the school.

The CAMS SCA sponsors Toys for Bote "tots" toy drive. Toys will be distributed through Social Services for those who receive no help from other toy drives in the community.

Anyone in the community who would like to participate can drop a toy off at the school, Fincastle library or Dollar General Store. Toys can be brought in until Dec. 15. All students are asked to participate to make this a successful drive and for each toy they bring in their name will be put in for a drawing for prizes. Some prizes will be provided by County Cookin' at Troutville, which has annually supported the event.
