Greenfield Elementary holds Veterans Day activities

Greenfield Elementary honored our veterans this year in a number of ways. Handmade greeting cards were delivered to the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Salem, and students with veterans in their family brought in pictures along with an information sheet to display on our Veteran's Wall of Fame in the cafeteria. The names of the veterans were read over the morning announcements. Fourth and fifth grade students were treated to a presentation by Major Philip Wentworth.A member of the Army National Guard who has served in Iraq, Major Wentworth was formerly a social studies teacher at Reed Mountain Middle School.

Pictured are the following (L-R) Daniel Schrader, Megan Rowe, Maddy Sears, Summer Harlow, Angela Clark, Tommy Pierce, Tyler Pauley, Kyle Hepler, Maj. Wentworth, Xavier Willis, Amanda Reid, Austin Woody, Taylor Green, and D. J. Clark.
