Troutville Volunteer Fire Department schedules Santa runs

The Troutville Volunteer Fire Department will be bringing Santa to neighborhoods in the area from Dec. 16-23. Here's a message from Dylan Johnson of the fire department, along with Santa's schedule:

Troutville Firefighters Bringing Santa To Area Neighborhoods

The Troutville Volunteer Fire Department is once again bringing Santa Claus to area neighborhoods this Holiday Season. Santa will be visiting children while aboard a shiny red fire engine with its red lights flashing. Firefighters ask that parents watch their children closely until the fire engine completely stops. Parents please supervise their children as they approach the fire engine to insure a safe Santa Run. Parents of any special needs children who may not be able to come to the street and would like for Santa to make a special visit inside their home may call 537-6533 to set up the special visit. Children that would like to see Santa but he is not visiting your particular street are welcome to visit with him at the Troutville Town Park or any other stop along one of his routes. Santa will start visiting with area children each night at 6:00 pm and will try to be finished no later than 9:00 pm. The schedule may be adjusted or canceled in the event of emergency calls. For additional information or questions, please call 537-6533. The Troutville Volunteer Fire Department wishes you a very safe and happy holiday season.
