Girl Scout Cadettes work on their Silver Award

Girl Scout Cadette Troop 171 of Botetourt Service unit are working on their Silver Award Project. The troop worked with the SPCA and Meals on Wheels Program to put together "goodie" bags for the pets of elderly people who receive meals on wheels. Each holiday bag was specially decorated and contained pet food, pet treats, two homemade toys for the pets, and a pet holiday ornament especially designed by the girls. The girls hope these gift bags will bring Holiday cheer to the elderly and their pets! The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award for Girls ages 11-14.
