Terrific Tuesday

No room at the Bed and Breakfast was a really good play put on by the youth ensemble for Reachout Productions at Attic Playhouse this past Sunday.
It's Terrific Tuesday again-- how's everything in your neckof the woods?
Its been a misty Tuesday. I keep thinking about the song, "Raindrops keep falling on my head..." Certainly that is how my life feels and probably yours, too. The economy has covered me like a pall and the tension I see among about everyone is palpable. It feels like we are waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I heard yesterday that 70 temps at a local Botetourt company were laid off. That had to hurt even if it was a temporary job it was nontheless a job. The Grinch has arrived for Christmas for another group of folks.
A retired minister came to see me last week at the coffee shop. When my friend who also dropped into see me brought up her feelings about the gloomy outlook, he said something that I think we all need to hear. Instead of cursing the darkness we need to praise the light. Hope.
I watched a play this week end put on by Reachout Productions youth ensemble called "No Room at the Bed and Breakfast" and I just adored the premise. Granted I am biased since my baby sang and danced and played Mary in the nativity scene, but hope and being comfortable in the situation we land in no matter how hard times seem made me feel much better-- we have the love of each other and God. John Lawson did a great job and all of those who wrote music and arranged choreography as well not to mention those brillant young folks! The DVD will be on sale. I can find out how to get them if need be, news@botetourtview.com.
Right now we all seem stressed by the world and financial upheaval. But there is always room at the Inn- no matter how obscure the place may be like a stable where a king was born.
Don't curse the darkness. Look for the light of hope--together we can find our way.
See ya next week!
