Photos of Cheryl Lunsford with Local Colors International Choir

More than fifty singers, representing 23 countries, filled the Atrium at the Taubman Museum on Sunday, Dec. 14 to hear the Local Colors International Choir. Local Colors founded by Pearl Fu and under the music direction of Cheryl Lunsford of Fincastle, created a program of music to educate, entertain and to safe keep, the true, authentic, back porch Folk songs from the countries represented in Local Colors. Some of the World folks songs performed were 600 years old, and came from countries like Korea, China, Philippines, France, Ireland, Scotland, England, Haiti, Brazil, South Africa. Korean Dancers performed a Fan Dance, other dancers included East India, and the American Indians. The Philippines performed their native song, Rice Planting.

Cheryl, as many know, is a a singer-songwriter who teaches guitar through her Guitar Dojo studio in Fincastle.
