Long and Foster fulfills Santa to Senior wishes

The Long and Foster staff raised $500 for senior citizens gifts this year.

The Long and Foster agents and staff in Daleville raised $500 for senior citizens gifts this year.

After listening to a number of people's concerns about the stock market, the auto industry bail out and the state of the economy, Dolores Farmer at Long and Foster in Daleville thought of something her mother has always told her: "The only way to get your mind off your troubles is to think about someone else's troubles."

That prompted her to call initially to Walmart then to Home Instead Senior Care, who still had a tree full of angels. When Dolores went to pick up the angels, however she found all of the angels had flown save one whose only wish was for home heating oil. The office rallied and they were able to raise over $500 for that angel and for four others whose wishes had only been partially fulfilled.  Submitted by Trina Yancey.
