Holiday photos from the Garnetts

Ensign Wade Thomson of Jacksonville, FL and family (wife Melanie, son Evan) visited the David Garnett household in Cloverdale for Christmas. Melanie fondly remembered visiting Natural Bridge when she visited her Garnett cousins as a young child and wanted to share that experience with her husband and son.

The Thomson family, along with her cousin, Laura Ranzer, husband, Adam Ranzer, and Melanie’s aunt Jane Garnett toured Natural Bridge the day after Christmas, including walking to the waterfall. Even in December weather, the Florida family was awe struck by the size of the natural formation of the bridge. Evan wanted to "see mountains", "walk in the forest", and he had studied Thomas Jefferson and George Washington in school.

Ensign Thomson recently completed Coast Guard Official Candidate School in Connecticut and will be stationed for the next three years in Guam, serving as Goals Prevention and/or Response.
