The state wrestling tournament is underway this weekend at the Salem Civic Center and we have these photos from the first round of action on Friday.

It's been a busy weekend for sports in Botetourt. Both the Lord Botetourt boys and girls basketball teams won their district tournaments on Friday -- we have a photo gallery of the boys here and the girls here.

Also, the James River boys basketball team won their district tournament on Friday, as well, and we have a photo gallery from that game here.

We also had a post on James River wrestlers who were going to the state tournament on Feb. 17.

Do you have photos involving teams or players from Botetourt? If so, you can share at news@botetourtview.com.

  1. Zack is the 2nd winningest wrestler in LB history. Placed 3rd in states. Fitting tribute to one of the hardest working kids in Botetourt. Zack and his family have worked very hard in the off season for many years, and it has payed off.
    Congratulations to the Santolla family!
