Lord Botetourt freshman holds lead in snowfall prediction contest

Is winter over yet? Who knows?

Sports seasons, at least, have a defined end. And, technically, so does the snowfall prediction contest that our weather journalist Kevin Myatt is running this winter. Except -- the end of his season is April 15.

We'll surely wrap up the snow by then. Maybe we have already. Who know?

But, here's the Botetourt angle: Right now, the leader in the contest is Austin Broyles, a freshman at Lord Botetourt High School.

And it looks like Austin will win, unless we get a late-season snowstorm.

Can Austin hold on? Or is he cruising to victory?

Or, maybe you just want to know how the whole contest works? Kevin Myatt explains details in his weather column.

And Austin, if you're out there reading, tell us how you made your prediction.
