The old time blockbuster musical is coming to Lord Botetourt High School on May 1 and 2. It has been a while since a local high school here in Botetourt County has produced a well-known musical and this one is based on MGM's award winning movie starring Gene Kelly, " Singin' in the Rain."

According to director Rachel Bremner, the plot revolves around 1920s Hollywood the setting for the zany, light-hearted romantic comedy about the early days of sound film, where we find Monumental Pictures studio scrambling to salvage the career of its chipmunk-voiced silent picture star.
