Photos: Read Mountain Middle School's Ballin' for the Cure

On June 9, Read Mountain Middle School held Ballin' for the Cure, a basketball game pinning the students vs. the teachers.  Members of the eighth grade boys and girls basketball teams played teachers with the eighth grade cheerleaders keeping the crowd in the game.  Three games were played.  The students won the first, the teachers won the second, and the third got a little silly so no one knows who won!

The event raised $1914.50 for the American Cancer Society, with a special donation of $150 from Girl Scout Troop 902 and leader Paula Nash.

Shirts were sponsored by Shelly Marin from Spas and Pools of Virginia, and Dennis Wiley of Blue Ridge Sportswear gave shirts at his cost.
