Daniel Knight of Blue Collar Joe's gets an award from LAP

Daniel Knight at Blue Collar Joe's received a Benefactor's Plaque from the League of Animal Protection on Friday June 26. "His donation jar has brought in so so much money to support the shelter," said Pat Shaver of the LAP. Since the doughnut shop's October opening, the amount of donation is almost $1400.00 and mostly in change in a donation jar on the counter.
Both Knight and his wife Pru are dog lovers. They brought Ruegar their rescued German Shephard to the store to receive the award. "We have a donation jar instead of a tip jar," said Knight, who also plans to host a pet adoption fair later this summer with LAP and Angels of Assisi.
Ruegar was rescued from an abusive owner.
