I thank you for your positive spin on the Buchanan Carnival and it is good to see that most people are sensible enough to realize that accidents happen and see it for what it was. Unfortunately, most media representatives never come to Buchanan to report anything good that is going on. They swarmed the town when there was a problem with the water, but how many reports did you see on the news when a solution to the town water problem was found? What a great story of how a community comes together to help the fire department! I would guess that 90% of the people who volunteer their time to scoop ice cream, fry potatoes, grill burgers, etc. are not members of the fire department. They just want to do their part to help! The TV media doesn't cover that, but let a ride fall and someone get a bump on the head, they are all over that! Granted, it COULD HAVE been much worse, but it WASN'T! Quite honestly, I suspected that the coverage would envy that of the water situation, but fortunately that did not happen.
