Business PAC endorses Austin and Clinton for Board of Supervisors
The Business Leadership Fund, a pro-business political action committee, announced today that it is endorsing Republican candidates Roanoke County Board Chair Mike Altizer and Supervisor Richard Flora, and democratic candidate Sarah Goodman in the upcoming Roanoke County Race. The Fund is also endorsing independent Terry Austin and republican Steve Clinton, who currently serve on the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors.
The fund's Board of Directors also interviewed the other Roanoke County candidates before making the endorsements. "We have endorsed these candidates because they clearly understand the challenges facing the counties of Roanoke and Botetourt and the greater region, and give their localities the best chance for positive, long-term change," said G. Michael Pace, Jr., chair of the fund. "They are critical thinkers who know that the quality of our public schools and economic growth are essential for our region's future, and their leadership will help strengthen the business climate and grow our economy."
The Business Leadership Fund was formed in 1998 to strengthen the voice of the region's business community in the public policy arena.
