Troutville partied, filled the park with little folks on bikes that paraded, dedicated a tennis court, and rocked and rolled! On Saturday September 12 supporters came to the park. Most of those whom paid the $10 for a ticket had a child in tow. After all this is Botetourt County's premier park for the young set!

Face painting, a hopping inflatable, wheel of prizes operated by the volunteer firemen in conjunction with their "Fire house" along with tennis lessons and bicycling added to the many children related events.

Two bands played, Flat Top and Echo Therapy. They rocked the afternoon away. The Caboose was open for tours, too full of Troutville pictures and railway history. Hot dogs prepared by Vickie and Ashley Clark fed the masses while Lee Minnix handed out free ice cream.

Minnix reported some results. The cake contest was, as always, one of the highlights of the day for the crowds of tasters! Tammy Frate won the contest with a Banana Split cake. David Gutshawl won the Horseshoe contest.  Over five thousand dollars has come in so far.
