Blue Ridge Vineyards is serving as a corporate sponsor for the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational Foundation's "Bubbles, Bands, and Brunch-"Boogie on the Bayou" fundraiser. Businesses from the college's service area are helping to underwrite expenses for the event, which will benefit the Foundation and its scholarship programs. Twelve students currently are attending DSLCC on Lancaster Scholarships funded by the 2007 fundraiser.

The festivities will be held Sunday, October 11, at Moomaw Center on the Clifton Forge Campus and will begin with Hors d'oeuvres served outside at 12:15 p.m. Lunch will be served in the Center at 1:15 p.m. and will be catered by Schaal's Catering and Events of Roanoke. Music will be provided by the Cajun band, Billy Cocteau, from Blacksburg. There also will be a silent auction for many fabulous prizes, including a basket of wines from Blue Ridge Vineyards. The afternoon will conclude with a special drawing for a trip for two to the Homestead in Hot Springs and a rug from Bacova Guild.
