Fall Sale at Fincastle United Methodist Church is October 24.

Fall Sale at Fincastle United Methodist Church is October 24.

The rooms are beginning to fill up with treasures over at the Fincastle United Methodist Church Family Life Center. On Saturday, October 24 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. the church volunteers including youth will be selling gently used items. "The monies raised will go to fund many of the churches "fruitful congregation" missions locally and with our youth," said volunteer fall sale coordinator Barb Vinal.

"Fruitful congregations" refers to a movement among churches based on a book by the same that FUMC has adopted as a combined mission statement for the congregation. The mission statement reads

The items in the sale cover the following categories: toys, baby items, decorations, baked goods, household goods, antiques, handmade crafts, yard items, kitchen items and what ever turns up!

Vinal, Gail Ross and Bonnie Elliott are some of the volunteers working hard to arrange the sale which will be held in the social hall of the FLC. Plenty of street and lot parking across from the FLC is available on Saturday's.

Hot dogs and other food will be available during the event. For any further information 473-3001.
