Photo: Greenfield Elementary learns about military life

At a special Veteran's Day presentation, second graders at Greenfield Elementary learned about first hand experiences from a member of the military.  Chief Warrant Officer 3 Douglas W. Helms displayed pictures and military gear for students to get a hands on idea of what military life can be like.  Officer Helms served from December 1982 to October 2004 and has been retired since November 2004. Students were given an opportunity to try on military clothing, examine field gear, and ask questions about his military career.  Mr. Helms is the father of Madison, Anna and Jacob Helms, students at Greenfield.
