Former teacher's aide files suit against Montgomery schools
A former substitute teacher's aide at Christiansburg High School has filed a defamation suit against Montgomery County Public Schools.
Christine Golding worked as an aide from Jan 2006 through her termination in Feb. 2007.
According to the complaint filed in Federal District Court on Friday, she was fired on Feb. 8, 2007, after CHS assistant principal Michael Stanley asserted that, she had "called groups of alleged unidentified CHS students 'stupid' and 'retarded'."
The complaint also says that Stanley alleged Golding had "abandoned an alleged unidentified CHS special needs students in a bathroom."
Golding's complaint says that those statements, as well as further statements made by Mark Pasier, director of Human Resources, are defamatory. Both Stanley and Pasier are named directly in the complaint.
The suit alleges the statements have kept her from obtaining work, causing economic strife.
"When seeking employment, at in any school or anywhere else I have been told that I must divulge the reason for my leaving my last job," the complaint states. "Thus, I immediatlely am required to put my character in question to any employer."
The complaint does not list a monetary sum sought. As of now, Golding is representing herself.
You can see a complete copy of the complaint here.

If what he is saying is true then he is not saying defamatory words about her! It would be no more than what she supposily said about students and what one states always comes back to bite them in the rear! This is truly sad to think that any teacher would say such and do such to a student or students in this matter! It makes one wonder who is teaching our children in these times...such a sad story and even worse if this is true in what she may have said!

I, Christine Golding, rather than verbally abuse students, constantly encouraged and consoled them. In addition, I was never at any time assigned to escort or assist any student at Christiansburg High School in any bathroom. Therefore, I have been defamed because of what Stanley and Pasier said which where nothing but lies. Furthermore, every Christiansburg High student and teacher is entitled to know the truth about what is taking place in their school. An objective investigation into this matter is imperative for the safety and security of everyone concerned.

Ms Golding, I have not keep up with your situation, however, I believe you! I will not go into how I know a few things about the administration there but a few years back there was a situation to where a teacher was forced into taking another position because of her lifestyle! Very little is there when it comes to diversity in Montgomecy Co or any school system for that matter and very little does a teacher aide's voice get heard! Good luck to you and instead of money being a point here make the issues at hand most important pertaining to the students!

Sorry had to come back and say something else...Ms Golding, it more than likely would be in your best interest to not say anything futher on here for it might hurt your case! Have your attorney to advise you of another way to defend yourself and I know that it must be hard to read comments about you here but just remember they are only opinions of other people, for you know what you did and did not do!
