Photos: Scrappers in NSA Tournament

This past weekend, June 19-21, the Class Action Scrappers 14U (Reynolds) team played in the NSA State Championship tournament in Richmond, Va. There were 44 teams competing. Although the Scrappers did not end up in the quarter-finals, they had a win/loss record of 5-2 for the entire tournament, outscoring their opponent 48-16 runs. Next weekend they will be playing in the NSA Carolina’s State Games in Charlotte, NC.

The team includes three players from the New River Valley: Micaela Gordon (who attends Pathway Christian), Olivia Cleary (who attends Auburn), and Morgan McCoy (who attends Blacksburg). Assistant coach Dale McCoy is also from Blacksburg.

Robin McCoy of Blacksburg shares these photos, which were taken by Billy Powell.

You can view them in the slideshow above or in this gallery format.
