Weekly update from Shawsville Farmers Market
Come join us for Halloween at the Shawsville Farmers Market this Saturday from 9am-noon in front of Meadowbrook.
Be sure to stop by with your little ghosts and goblins to trick-or-treat at each vendor's booth! Also, Meadowbrook Library is hosting trick-or-treaters from 10am-4:30.
The following vendors will be there:
Brush Creek Aquaponics
Sandy and Ralph Birkenmaier will have handcrafted soaps (including Halloween soaps) and Soothing Milk Bath, greeting cards and bookmarks (with photos of their ducks, plants, and local scenes), button badges (including Halloween buttons and Wearable Nature Art), Pumpkin Babies, Autumn crafting materials, and other goodies. Nature's decorations
Jan Marks of Blacksburg sent in these photos of decorations courtesy of nature. Spiders have decorated her barberry bushes with webs for Halloween while her okra plant has sprouted a lovely while blossom. Marks says shes freezes the okra to use in soups and gumbos in the winter.
