I was thinking the other day that many foreign teams have a quota: only one American player-per-team! Yet NBA teams keep adding more and more foreign-born players, which takes away spots from American-born players! Think of all of the guys from poor backgrounds in America who grow up dreaming of becoming NBA players. Now, more and more of their potential roster spots are going to foreign-born players instead!
If foreign teams can have quotas on American players, why can't we do the reverse?
It does not seem right to see NBA teams having higher and higher percentages of players from Europe and Africa: I'm not talking about players born in those countries who play high school and college ball in the USA first, and then go to the NBA. I'm talking about foreign players who play high school or club ball overseas and then go directly to the NBA! I'd like to see the NBA institute a rule!
