Eric Clapton's influence

The past few weeks, multimedia editor Seth Gitner and I met, interviewed and videotaped several area guitarists who were influenced by Eric Clapton.

The story I wrote is scheduled to run on Sunday. But the videos we shot are already available on roanoke.com's video page. Check them out ...

This seems like a good place to ask about your musical influences. It doesn't matter whether you play an instrument. It's about how music, or particular players, inspire you. Let me know.

About this blog

cutNscratch is The Roanoke Times music blog. Music reporter Tad Dickens enjoys pickin' and grinnin' and drummin', and he likes to write about music, too. He'll post plenty about local, regional and national music, but it won't be any fun at all if you don't jump in and have your say. So do it! | Read more about Tad.
