New songs, new bands in MusicCast Top 5

From The Roanoke Times' New Channels Editor Dwayne Yancey:

The Roanoke Allstars stay atop the MusicCast Top 5 for the third week in a row. But we have new tunes by The Seed and The Wading Girl, and both of them move into the Top 5 this week, as well. Also of note: Three of our top five this week are videos submitted by the bands. So if you’re thinking your band’s video should be in the Top 5, well, send it along and maybe it will be. Details on how to post your videos are on the MusicCast page. (LINK: http://blogs.roanoke.com/musiccast/

1. “OxyContin Rock,” by the Roanoke Allstars

2. “Can You Understand,” by The Seed

3. “Untitled Waltz,” by The Wading Girl

4. “Rattlesnake Mountain,” by Red Clay River

5. “We Underground,” by Mack Jones

About this blog

cutNscratch is The Roanoke Times music blog. Music reporter Tad Dickens enjoys pickin' and grinnin' and drummin', and he likes to write about music, too. He'll post plenty about local, regional and national music, but it won't be any fun at all if you don't jump in and have your say. So do it! | Read more about Tad.
