Drivn will not be performing at this benefit concert. We were approached but regretfully had to decline. We are off the rest of 2008 for other band related business and unfortunately will not be able to attend.
We do wish the very best to Brent and feel this is a wonderful event in recognition of a great musician from our region.
From all of us in the DRIVN camp, god bless and we hope Brent has a full speedy recovery!

Sorry to hear about BRent. Your musician readers might want to know about a great FREE program called HINT (Health Insurance Navigation Tool), which provides informed, musician-friendly support and advice to musicians who need information about health insurance. You can read more about it at: http://www.futureofmusic.org/hint/
There's no "sell" -- artists simply go to the website and schedule an appointment to a health insurance expert who is also a musician and go over their situation and look at the possibilities for coverage.
HINT DOES NOT SELL INSURANCE. What it does do is help musicians navigate the tricky jargon around health insurance so they can learn about their best options. It doesn't cost a thing -- the HINT program manager (who is volunteering his time) calls you on his dime.
There’s hardly a day that goes by without a story about a benefit show for a musician who’s struggling to pay their medical bills. If more musicians took a few minutes to see if they can find coverage, we might not have to read (and write) as many benefit items. And that'd be a good thing.

I've been enjoying Brent's singing since I was 17 and sneaking into the Kings Inn. We'll be at the show and keep Brent in our thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery.
