Buena Vista bluegrassers Nothin' Fancy release new CD

Good year for Nothin' Fancy. First, it won the emerging artist award at the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music In America's 2008 convention.

Now the band has a new disc, "Lord Bless This House," coming out on Pinecastle Records.

From a Pinecastle Records news release:

>Nothin' Fancy's 8th Career Album
>SPBGMA's 2008 Emerging Artist Of the Year, Nothin' Fancy, releases their 8th career album and first all gospel project, Lord Bless This House on Pinecastle Records today.  The album features twelve tracks ranging from originals to Bill Withers' R&B classic "Lean On Me" to the traditional country gospel song "Peace In The Valley."

>Special guests on Lord Bless This House include Rhonda Vincent, who contributes co-lead vocals on "Heart That Will Never Break Again," Cody Kilby, Darrin Vincent, and Steven Sheen.  The album, recorded at Adventure Studios in Nashville, TN, was produced by Rhonda Vincent and Darrin Vincent, and mastered by Tim Kastner.

>Nothin' Fancy was formed as a bluegrass band in September of 1994 with the purpose of competing in the East Coast Bluegrass Championship in Crimora, Virginia. In 2002, Nothin' Fancy signed with Pinecastle Records and quickly released their debut recording for the label entitled Once Upon A Road.  Since their auspicious debut, they have grown in popularity and continued on to release Reflections, Album # 7, and now Lord Bless This House.

>Their strong vocals, energetic instrumentation and stage presence helps project a friendly, down-home manner on stage, garnering them a large fan-base throughout the country.  Nothin' Fancy is not just carrying on the tradition of bluegrass music, they are contributing to the creation of a new tradition within the acoustic music genre
