Podcast with JP Powell of My Radio

Roanoke-based pop/rock act My Radio plays Friday night at Kirk Avenue Music Hall. Ostensibly, it's a CD release party for the band's album, "Give Us The Sun," but My Radio has no immediate plans for wide release. Instead, a music placement company has signed the band, so you might just be hearing My Radio's music on TV and movies in the very near future.

By the way, Florida-based Colourslide opens the show.

Singer/songwriter/keyboardist JP Powell talks about this new trend in the record business, and more.

About this blog

cutNscratch is The Roanoke Times music blog. Music reporter Tad Dickens enjoys pickin' and grinnin' and drummin', and he likes to write about music, too. He'll post plenty about local, regional and national music, but it won't be any fun at all if you don't jump in and have your say. So do it! | Read more about Tad.
