Fabolous: Top of the pops is coming to Virginia Tech Oct. 8

Fabolous, whose soundtrack to "Loso's Way" is No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart this week, performs at Virginia Tech's Burruss Auditorium during homecoming week.

The rapper born John Jackson is also atop the R&B/hip-hop albums chart this week. His Oct. 8 show is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start. Advance tickets are $25, $20 for Tech. Cough up $5 more the day of the show.

Starting in 2001, Bed-Stuy’s Fabolous (John Jackson) was featured on several singles and album tracks, most notably Lil’ Mo’s Top 10 crossover hit “Superwoman.”  Fab’s singles chart debut happened that summer with his career-defining “Can’t Deny It,” featur­ing Nate Dogg, on Desert Storm (via Elektra’s East-West division). After more than two and a half years, Fab returned with From Nothin To Somethin, igniting the next phase of his career at Def Jam Recordings.
