Another loss for Charlottesville.

Plan 9 and the Satellite Ballroom are closing. The Prism, Starr Hill Music Hall and Trax have all pulled down the tents in recent years. Is C'Ville the musical Shangri-La-la-la-la it's cracked up to be? We'll examine Friday in Riffs.

Another rain check for Van Halen

OK, the Van Halen concert in Charlottesville has been rescheduled again. VH is taking off six weeks so Eddie Van Halen, "who is currently under doctors' care, can continue medical tests to define a course of treatment," according to a news release from Live Nation.
The Charlottesville show is now set for April 19. In honor of March Madness, anybody want to start a pool to predict if this show's ever gonna happen?

Cute li'l cacti

Here's one of them there viral videos that the kids like so much. It just so happens it has kids in it!

They're called the Cactus Cuties and they're singing the National Anthem at a Texas-Texas Tech basketball game. Sure to put a roundball-sized lump in the throat.
