The Beamer File

I admit it: you college football fans are too snarky for me. I just don't enjoy the bash-and-be-bashed religion of reading and commenting on blogs, especially sports blogs.

Over the past two college football seasons, I've written several blog posts offering some quick-hit examples of the kind of analysis you can do with our searchable database of Frank Beamer's record as head football coach at Virginia Tech.

With the season about to kick off Saturday in Atlanta with a game against #5 Alabama, I could do that again. Maybe tell you about Tech's record against Alabama in the past (though they only played once during Beamer's tenure, and that was 11 years ago), or breakdown the Hokies' record against SEC teams, or top 5 teams. Those are all things you can do with the database.

But, honestly, I don't want to hear how stupid I am. I'm not Lee Corso or Kirk Herbstreet. Don't wanna be.

So do me a favor and aim your snark somewhere else.

Better yet, check out this cool tool and use it to be all snarky on someone else's blog, like Randy King's or Doug Doughty's. Or TechSideline for that matter.

Just tell 'em where you got your data when you do it: The DataSphere.
