Belly up to the (food) bar with ExtraCast

If you're like me, the food on Super Bowl Sunday is almost as exciting as the game itself.
Oh, okay, it's MORE exciting!
In tomorrow's Inside Out, I write about creating an easy, low-fuss food bar for Super Bowl parties.
You can even watch me preparing a taco bar on this week's ExtraCast!
Bonus: You'll find out about all the hot musical acts around town this weekend.

  1. I really enjoyed today's Superbowl party ideas - except for the cake and ice cream sundaes. Huh? I like desserts, but football says beer (or rootbeer), snacks, appetizers, pizza, subs - not dessert! Well, I could be wrong... but there won't be a dessert bar at my house this Sunday.

I did wish for something less messy - like food-on-a-stick bar. Or make-your-own-sandwich bar. I tried Nassau chicken on a stick last night and it was elegant, tasty, AND mess free!

  2. I guess you're right, Amy. I'm probably not going to be eating anything sweet on Sunday. Although (weird) folks like my husband actually enjoy the combination of beer and chocolate. Go figure!
Maybe the dessert bar idea will come in handy at a different party sometime.

  3. Yes... I have heard of that strange breed of beer drinkers. I'm glad to know they really exist and are not an urban myth!

I have done the sundae/cake bar during a sleepover. This is messy - but fun. It IS a great idea!

After much debate my husband has insisted on doing all the food for Sunday. I am supposed to clean - ugh! I would rather be in the kitchen any day!
