Foster deserves a shot at Head Coach somewhere. He's clearly the best coach on VT's sideline.

I am not a VT fan but Bud Foster would be crazy NOT to take the Clemson job! His name is known, so he will continue to recruit at Clemson. Clemson already has the talent to win the ACC and the conference is down! There is nothing more that he can accomplish at Tech. Tech is NOT going to win a National Championship in the next 5 years so he should pursue the Clemson job. Clemson will not win a championship either but he will get head coaching experience, easily win 9-10 games each year and set himself up for a better coaching position! When Beamer retires, Bud Foster will be the first and probably only candidate that Tech will pursue.

Folks, it is only a matter of time until Bud gets his shot. But, knowing Clemson and how they think they are much bigger and badder than they are, well, they'll pick a good sounding head coach that has a pretty good record somewhere else. I don't think they are progressive enough to take a chance on a budding star. That said, who knows, many a great coordinator became an awful head coach. It's a different ballgame when you become head coach.

Bud would be crazy to want that position. I am a Hokie fan living in SC and let me tell you - the Clemson fans think they should be in a BCS title game every year. Nothing is good enough for them. Granted, they should be doing way better this year than they are and I can tell from watching interviews that they have a morale problem. Tommy Bowden stepping down was probably a good thing for them at this point but the next coach that comes in better produce right away or they will run him out of town. This Saturday should be interesting to see whether or not the coaching change and QB change will make an immediate difference.

The problum I have is that I don't interview well. My agent has ben workin with me in the oft-season and things are improving. I guess them people down there will hire right after the last game of the season and man I'm gonna be near my phone.

What a joke. Every opening that pops up, he either is putting his name in or people are asking him about it.

Reminds me of the parable.."Boy who cried wolf". No one is taking him seriously.....knows he will stay at Tech....just trying to milk them for all the $$$ he can.

VT will be in big trouble if Bud leaves. With the offense floundering year after year, Beamer and Co. really depend on the defense to keep them in, and then, bail them out of most games.

I would really hate to see Bud leave, but he deserves a chance to be a head coach. It would be awfully strange to see him on the opposing sideline in B'burg. I just hope he would consider coming back when Coach Beamer desides to retire.
