Tech gets commitment
Kory Gough, a 6-foot-6, 260-pound lineman from Liberty High School in Bealeton, said Tuesday night that he had committed Virginia Tech earlier in the day.
Gough (pronounced goff) said the Hokies increased their interest after receiving a highlight film and offered him a scholarship Tuesday after watching him play Friday night against Battlefield High School.
Gough said he also had offers from Marshall, East Carolina, Ohio University, James Madison, Liberty and Hofstra. Current plans are for him to enroll at Tech in January 2010.
