UVa-TCU on the books

From UVa Sports Information

CHARLOTTESVILLE -- Virginia and Texas Christian will meet in football for a two-game series in 2009 and 2012,  the schools jointly announced today.

The teams are scheduled to meet Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 in Charlottesville and during the 2012 season in Forth Worth, Texas. An exact date for the second game of the series has not yet been determined.

The Cavaliers and Horned Frogs have met once before on the gridiron.

Virginia defeated TCU 20-10 at the 1994 Independence Bowl. The Cavaliers finished that season 9-3 and ranked 15th in the final Associated Press rankings.

Virginia will announce its other non-conference opponents for the 2009 season when its schedule is finalized.

  1. Well, it's better than playing a Football Championship Subdivision (Formerly Division 1-AA) school like Richmond.

  2. Michigan just lost it's 8th game, right? It was the most losses in 127 years of Michigan football, right?

It just shows you the standards that Michigan has for football compared to UVa. Is there a mandatory state retirement age when Al Groh turns 75? 85? Haha.
