UVa-Va. Tech after three quarters

A 73-yard run by Tyrod Taylor set up a 4-yard touchdown run by Greg Boone early in the third quarter and allowed Virginia Tech to pull into a 14-14 tie.

The Hokies dominated the third quarter but passed up a go-ahead field goal from the 1-yard line, after which Boone was stopped for a 4-yard loss by John-Kevin Dolce and Nate Collins on fourth-and-goal.

Total offense after three quarters is 344-211 in favor of the Hokies. Tech outgained Virginia 167-70 in the third quarter.

  2. i want to thank coach al groh and the team,one more time for not disappointing the uva fans by winning a game that was so badly needed.

    once again, the university sports program is not serious about the football program. so why not just stop spending all that money trying to make people think they are. maybe bud foster needs ro be interviewed for the head coach position.

  3. There is no way......NO WAY..... that Bud Foster can be allowed to take any coaching job besides the one at VT. If Jim Weaver doesn't pull every possible string to keep Bud Foster at Tech, he should be run out of town. And if he takes ANY job at UVa... Weaver AND Foster should be committed to a mental institution...
