Copper gets invite from Packers
Jon Copper, a walk-on linebacker from Roanoke who had more than 300 tackles in his University of Virginia football career, said Monday morning that he has accepted an invitation to go to Green Bay this weekend for a Packers' mini-camp.

I hope Copper does well. He's a dedicated player and a class act. And yes, I'm a Hokie.

Jon is a quality guy with a great work ethic. If anyone is able to overcome the odds, it will be him. I wish him nothing but the best! Go 'Hoos!

You're also a Northside Viking.

But Doug, I haven't followed the Vikings since Nappy was an undergrad.

Jon Copper was vastly underrated. He was one of UVa's best players in my opinion!
