Tech gets eighth commitment
Jerome Lewis, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end from Bishop Kearney in Rochester, N.Y., has become the eighth football player to commit to Virginia Tech for 2010.
Lewis also had offers from Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syacuse and East Carolina, according to rivals.com.
Other schools pursuing Lewis were Rutgers, West Virginia, N.C. State and Vanderbilt.
He had 10 receptions for 348 yards on offense as a junior, when he also played defense. He had 56 tackles, including seven sacks, and recovered four fumbles.

Have any Tech fans out there seen Jerome Lewish play for his high school team? He sounds like a good prospect. Pittsburgh offered him, and with his height he appears to be someone who Beamer must see good potential in.
