Ex-UVa aide headed to Tech
Virginia Tech head basketball coach Seth Greenberg will fill the vacancy on his staff by hiring former Virginia assistant Bill Courtney, with an announcement expected as early as Thursday.
Courtney, who lost his job at Virginia when head coach Dave Leitao was dismissed after the season, quickly latched on with new Virginia Commonwealth coach Shaka Smart and has been working for the Rams since April 15.
Courtney previously worked at Providence and George Mason and is well-connected in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore AAU circuits.
Courtney, who was at UVa for two years, will replace Stacey Palmore on the Hokies' staff. Palmore resigned to join a new staff at Georgia.

No offense to Courtney, but why is he in such high demand?!

because he can recruit, he is a great coach and outstanding motivator, and kids are better players after he has coached them. Any questions?
