CHARLOTTESVILLE--The Virginia baseball team is scheduled to leave for Omaha, Neb., and the College World Series from the Charlottesville-Albemarle airport on Wednesday, June 10 at 4 p.m. Fans who wish to see the team leave may visit the airport. It is suggested that fans arrive at the airport at 3 p.m.
The team will be leaving on a charter flight and will not go through the public terminal. Fans are asked to park in the daily parking lot at the airport. They can see the team from outside the fence in the rental car pick-up area.
Virginia opens College World Series play against LSU on Saturday, June 13 at 7 p.m. at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha. The game will be televised on ESPN.

Wow, it's a strange feeling, a UVa team competing for a national championship! Imagine UVa competing for a national championship in football or basketball one day! We certainly have the facilities for it!
In baseball, I don't think we even have the facilities for it, yet we're doing it!
