Cavs cruise past Indiana 47-7
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (Associated Press) — Mikell Simpson ran for four touchdowns and cornerback Ras-I Dowling forced two turnovers to set up scores as Virginia defeated Indiana 47-7 on Saturday.
Jameel Sewell passed for 308 yards as Virginia rolled up more than 500 yards total offense for the first time since 2004.
Simpson's first two 5-yard touchdown runs came after big plays by Dowling — a forced fumble that Rodney McLeod returned 32 yards and an interception. Dowling also had a third-down sack after Indiana (3-3) reached the Cavaliers' 32.
Zane Parr's sack on the next play gave the ball back to Virginia (2-3), and eight plays later Simpson was untouched on a 3-yard touchdown run with 2:34 left in the first half. He also had a 1-yard TD run before being injured in the third quarter.
Bryan Payton's 12-yard touchdown run was the only score for the Hoosiers.

UVa's Hall doubtful for Saturday's game with TCU
So how will Virginia decide on Saturday’s starting quarterback?
The Cavaliers may be leaving that call to the trainer.
As UVa makes final preparations for Saturday’s home game with No. 16 Texas Christian, the Cavs are doing so with two of their top-three quarterbacks listed on the injury report.
The one hurting the most is senior Vic Hall, who started in UVa’s 26-14 loss to William and Mary on Saturday. In the injury report released by Virginia on Thursday, Hall was listed as doubtful due to a hip injury.
Meanwhile, senior Jameel Sewell, who played quarterback the majority of the second half for Virginia last weekend, is listed as probable despite a wrist injury.
That leaves the Cavaliers’ other tri-No. 1 QB, junior Marc Verica, as the only one of the three with no reported injuries.
(Ed's. note: sorry about the extra "r" in "doubtful" up in the headline of this posting, hence Dan's comment, hence the corrected spelling.)
