01OCT08--Cool Weather, Relatively

21sep08%20060.JPG
Today the weather was fabulous with a high of 89 degrees!

The constant wind of 13 mph reminded me of Oklahoma, and the early morning and late night temperature of 70 reminded me of home. We will have a few more days of similar weather before getting back to the mid-90’s this weekend. Next week will be back to the upper 90’s. I will enjoy it while it lasts.

There is a 10-mile race Saturday morning. It is a shadow run of the Army 10-miler in Washington D.C. I plan on running in it, but I am at the mercy of my right calf, which I strained about five days ago. I am feeling better every day and rode a stationary bike for an hour this evening.

Captain Aaron Wentworth of Michigan always wanted to be Dick Tracy when he grew up. Similarly, Lieutenant Jay Alaniz of San Antonio, Texas always wanted to be Michelangelo the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle....

  1. Capt. I am enjoying your blog immensly. Yes the weather will get cooler and your clothes will not feel like they are on fire. During the rainy season you will probably see frost in the AM.
