Notes from Iraq

30NOV08--Major Wentworth's Promotion

Today, Aaron Wentworth of Michigan was promoted to major from captain.  We had a cookout to celebrate, and Major Wentworth invited the Iraqi Army to participate.

Major "Bossman" Brott pinned the new rank on his chest, and the Iraqi colonel pinned it on his cap.  After the two took turns saying a few words about what a great guy Major Wentworth is, Aaron got his turn to speak.  After he thanked everyone, we enjoyed steaks cooked on the grill.

The Iraqi colonel pins the new rank on Major Wentworth cap while it is on his head. Sergeants Brian Parker and Luis "Doc" Montes hold the flag while Sergeant Kevin "KC" Connaughton and Captain Mack Kelley play make like the camera men forte Village People.

The Iraqi colonel remarks on what an outstanding officer Major Wenthworth is. You can see how Sergeant Murrell try to close the gaps in the roof of his trailer with foam.

Major Aaron Wentworth thanks everyone for coming and the Iraqi Army for the plaque.

Steak dinner from the grill. Sergeant Colon and I are in the distance on the left working the grills. The trailer in the background is our office.
