In the days after my return to Baghdad, there was a constant haze in the air. The wind simply lifted the dust and sand into a foglike cloud that somewhat decreased visibility.
Hazy Day. The arch pictured is the "Gateway to Baghdad."
Sheep on sale at the side of the road. This is taken on the major, six-lane roadway heading south of Baghdad.
