Notes from Iraq

Comic Relief

The other day, the "Comics Ready to Entertain" tour put on a show at the base that team lives over lunch.  Soldiers came together, ate, and shared some laughs.

Jacki Kashian got a lot of laughs, joking that she was "no cougar." She was even funnier when she made fun of her husband for playing video games.

Nate told everyone that he thought that he was doing a show in Arizona then joked about policies at the base, like how stringent the procedures are to get into the chow hall, noting that the number of caucasians that visiting Iraq just to rip of the U.S. Army for a free corn dog.

Scott Kennedy is on his 31st tour to Iraq and centered his jokes on personal practices done in privacy.

Scott thoroughly interacted with this Soldier, whom he nicknamed "Whacking Eddie." The name has stuck after the show.

I had not heard such a large group laughing in a very long time.

The comics signed autographs and shook hands with Soldiers after the show, expressing their appreciation. Likewise, the Soldiers very much appreciated the comic relief.
