Obama showing his "birth certificate" to Daily Kos, is like McCain showing his medical records to Rush Limbaugh.

Obama was born in Kenya and McCain has medical issues. Which one bothers you the most

Why were only 3 republicans at your NPR party? Did you forget to invite the local conservatives? Or do you think Republicans listen to NPR and read the Roanoke Slimes? *chuckle*

Thanks for being there and covering the event. You captured it very well!
(My name's a little hard to catch - I should have spelled it - I didn't think about there be newspaper folks in the audience covering it as well)

Steve,

I'm not a supporter of Barack Obama. The guy was born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu Hawaii. He's a United States citizen by birth, just like me and probably like you. You can look up the Birth Certificate on the City of Honolulu's web site.

If you don't agree with his policies just say so. If there is something else you don't like have the courage to state it.

According to FactCheck.org:

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”

As an FYI...McCain wasn't born in the US.

And Steve,

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthcertificate.asp

The Obama campaign made his birth certificate publicly available on the internet earlier this summer. Here's a picture of it if you are still believing everything you read via email:

Blues Dude,

No one is truly ever ready to handle the rigors of being president. Unless of course you're one of the presidents of the past 20 years who spent over half their term on vacation.... But that's another topic (and one every American should look up the statistic for) So I digress.

Bill Clinton was governor for two years, but is also a Rhodes Scholar, and Yale Lawyer, and had experience in the 70's working on presidential campaigns.

To compare him to Sarah Palin who went to community college in alaska and got a Bachelors in Journalism and Communication in Idaho is insane.
That's like saying your 87 honda accord is comparable to a brand new 2009 Corvette Z06. Sure, both could do laps at the Indy 500, but which is going to put up a decent time?

His citizenship? Dude, where have you been? That was dealt with a long time ago. Tune to something else besides Rush and you'll get new information and will be able to think for yourself.
