Webcast: Should Virginia Tech fans root for Virginia?
So after their team lost last week at Georgia Tech, what are Virginia Tech Hokies fans to do now? Well, the answer is root for archrival Virginia. At least that’s how sportswriters Doug Doughty and Randy King see it.
So what will it be? Will Hokies fans bite their lips and quietly pull for Virginia, or is the whole idea just too much, and Hokies fans would rather take second with honor than get help to move up a notch. At least that’s how they see it right now.
See why on the October 22 episode of the Sports TimesCast, our weekly college sports webcast.

I'll be pulling for UVA like I always do, until VT plays them. I want to see the ACC do well, and sadly they just haven't in an overall sense. I'm also pulling for FSU tonight, it's a sad state of affairs in Tallahassee and I'd like to see them turn things around.

As the old saying goes in sports ,,,,, if you have to root for someone else to win to better yourself ,,,,, then you were not good enough to start with. It is what it is.

Never. E-V-E-R.
I happen to not be so weak or foolish that I beg my team's rival to succeed to help prop up my team.

NEVER cheer for UVA. It wouldn't matter anyway. UVA does not have anything to offer against Georgia Tech or Miami. They will lose both...By at least 3 touchdowns.
