Deeds will campaign in Christiansburg and Pulaski on Saturday

Creigh Deeds, the Democratic candidate for governor, will make the traditional final-weekend stops in Christiasnburg and Pulaski on Saturday. It's been traditional for Democrats to spend the final weekend of the campaign in Southwest Virginia.

Meanwhile, Bob McDonnell, the Republican candidate, is elsewhere in the state. Here are the official schedules for candidates.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2009

9:15 AM IN CHRISTIANSBURG - GET OUT THE VOTE CAMPAIGN EVENT. Sen. Deeds will join supporters and voters for a campaign event in Christiansburg. Sen. Deeds will be joined by Governor Tim Kaine, U.S. Senator Jim Webb, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor Jody Wagner, Democratic candidate for Attorney General Steve Shannon, and Congressman Rick Boucher (D-9th District). Sen. Deeds will speak to supporters about the importance of getting out the vote on November 3.

11:00 AM IN PULASKI - GET OUT THE VOTE CAMPAIGN EVENT. Sen. Deeds will join supporters and voters for a campaign event in Pulaski. Sen. Deeds will be joined by Governor Tim Kaine, U.S. Senator and Jim Webb, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor Jody Wagner, Democratic candidate for Attorney General Steve Shannon, and Congressman Rick Boucher (D-9th District). Sen. Deeds will speak to supporters about the importance of getting out the vote on November 3.

12:45 PM IN MAX MEADOWS - WYTHE COUNTY DEMOCRATIC BBQ & RALLY. Sen. Deeds, along with Governor Tim Kaine, U.S. Senator Jim Webb, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor Jody Wagner, Democratic candidate for Attorney General Steve Shannon, and Congressman Rick Boucher (D-9th District), will join supporters and volunteers for a lunchtime BBQ. Sen. Deeds will speak to supporters about the importance of getting out the vote on November 3.

5:00 PM IN LEESBURG - LEESBURG HALLOWEEN PARADE. Sen. Deeds, along with Governor Tim Kaine, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor Jody Wagner, and Democratic candidate for Attorney General Steve Shannon, will attend the Leesburg Halloween Parade. Sen. Deeds will walk along the parade route with a float of supporters from the Loudoun County Democratic Committee.
