Chris Winston is the New River valley bureau chief at The Roanoke Times. A Lexington, S.C., native, Chris has been a team leader with the company since 2005. Prior to that, he was a sports reporter, health reporter, business editor and assistant city editor at the Herald-Journal newspaper in Spartanburg, S.C. from 1996-2005. Chris received an undergraduate degree in journalism from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina.
