JobQuest returns on Tuesday, Feb. 3

Business writer Jenny Boone of The Roanoke Times will be one of the guests on Tuesday's showing of "JobQuest," the monthly television show on Blue Ridge public television which focuses on job hunting in Western Virginia. Also featured on the program will be the job listings at jobs.roanoke.com.

The show airs Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. The first installment was last month; we have more details here. If there are issues you'd like to see addressed on future programs -- or in our daily newspaper coverage -- you leave let us know by leaving a comment below..

Catching up with former RT photographer Josh Meltzer ...

Former Roanoke Times' photographer Josh Meltzer left the paper last August to work as a Fulbright Scholar in Guadalajara, Mexico, but you can check out his latest projects here.

We miss Josh in the newsroom, but it's fun to follow his adventures in Mexico.

As you've likely heard, a U.S. Airways plane bound for Charlotte has crashed in the Hudson River in New York. Early reports indicate all passengers have managed to escape safely. It was US Airways Flight 1549. Do you know anyone who was on the flight? If so, we'd like to hear from you -- or them. You can contact us here.

The next installment of "JobQuest," the monthly show about employment prospects in the region produced by Blue Ridge PBS -- with some help from us, and other organizations -- will be Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. We'll have more information closer to the time about who our guest on the show will be.
